What data do I need to get started?
Site addresses, solar / storage / EV capacity per property, and monthly generation data (kWh). If you have inverter portal access we can help pull historical data. Most pilots are live within two weeks.
Do I need specific monitoring hardware?
No. CanopyVue is hardware-agnostic. We work with data from any inverter brand (SolarEdge, Enphase, SMA, etc.), any battery system, and any EV charger. No hardware purchase or installation required.
Can I use this for investor presentations?
Yes. Every screen is built to be screenshot-worthy. Lobby display mode auto-rotates across your portfolio on any TV. PDF exports go straight into your LP deck.
How are ESG metrics calculated?
EPA eGRID emission factors for your region (CAMX for California). CO₂, trees, homes powered, gasoline gallons, and EV miles are calculated from your actual generation — not estimates.
What if my sites use different inverter brands?
That's the entire point. Unlike SolarEdge Monitoring or Enphase Enlighten, CanopyVue aggregates data from any source into one portfolio view.
Is my data secure?
Yes. Data is encrypted at rest and in transit. Each customer's data is isolated at the database level (Postgres row-level security). We never share or commingle data between customers.
